Since 2004, Kim has been using the moniker aKido for his personal electronic music project. As aKido, Kim has released 5 albums and 3 EPs through his own imprint Nordique Records. Earning the support from an ever growing listening base, aKido has also received nominations at ADISQ, GAMIQ, and the INDEPENDENT MUSIC AWARDS. In Montreal, aKido has been referred to as "local underground high flier" and "the best kept secret in our latitudes" by some members of the press.
